At Russian Cookbook our purpose is to tell you about Russian cooking, not only recipes but the ideas and ethos of Russian cuisine and all that it encompasses.

An important aspect of what Russian Cookbook is about is dispelling a number of myths and stereotype that surround Russian cooking. Chief amongst these is the image that is associated with Russian cooking and Russian life in general as perpetrated by Hollywood movies. Contrary to this image, the Russian people actually enjoy a rich culinary culture, with food playing an important role in everyday life and celebrations. Just by taking a small glimpse at any of the recipes on Russian Cookbook you will understand for yourself that is the truth. After tasting some of these recipes you will also understand that the image that many people hold of bland Russian food is completely and utterly unbiased.
